I am of the opinion that any good adventure needs to be documented and shared. This is without a doubt one of the biggest adventures I have gotten myself into, and there can be no better way to share it with people than using the internet. This will be a photo-centric log of my trip, because most people don’t want to read voluminous amounts of text. Heck, I’m surprised your even still reading this.

For those who are interested, I’m Everett, a soon to be Environmental Science graduate from the University of Calgary. Instead of heeding the good advice of everyone around me and looking for a job, I’ve decided to spend all my savings on a backpacking trip through Europe. This was originally plan B for my post graduation life, which means it’s a bit of a bitter sweet opportunity. None the less, I can’t say I’m not excited by it. In fact I find that even in the planning stages it is already becoming more sweet than bitter.

  1. I am of the same mindset and was floored at the similarities between your about me section and my own. I too have chosen a life of adventure and I envy your travels across Europe. Maybe someday I’ll make the jump from exploring the American National Parks to backpacking Europe but until then, I’ll have to live vicariously through your words and photos. Cheers and best of luck in your travels!
